beautiful hong kong

why people in hong kong are weird:

5 adults, 2 kids.
4 dslr cameras.
everyone in hk has a dslr. everyone. i'm sure they have extras, give
me one!

and they're all wearing black??

some days...

some days, i don't leave the house. and i don't have a problem with that.

today was a great day:

- i talked to jenny and karina today, so obviously i was in a good mood from then on. :)

- listened to lots of music, and found out that jean michel likes animal collective. he may be their youngest fan. he likes to shake his head really fast so his cheeks move and he gets dizzy, and jump up and down to the beat. mayyyybe ill get a video sometime.

- spent a great deal of time coloring on different colored construction paper. using crayons and colored pencils. this activity usually ends with me drawing super heroes for jean michel. today, i drew the best buzz lightyear. im pretty proud of my cartoon skillz here:

- played with some wooden building blocks & tried making a castle, but jean mi kept knocking it down...

- watched monster's inc. (love that movie!!)

- read some books (goodnight gorilla is a good one)

HK in february...

we went to the beach THREE times this week!!

i can't wait to show him this photo when he's older...

the water was still pretty cold, but it was gorgeous outside! i really couldn't believe that it was so nice out. i'm so thankful that i'm here instead of dreary Chicago right now...
i'll come back when i can go swimming outside, okay? well...maybe...

Bali: Part Deux

I'm going to Bali, Indonesia again on Monday for Chinese New Year!

I know I'm a horrible person and haven't gotten anyone gifts from abroad, but I'm poor, so give me a break. If there's something specific you would like from Bali or HK, let me know.

I'm hoping to bring some ocean water back for my special ocean loving, wanna be beach bum, hippie friends (you know who you are).

so i guess my last post was a long time ago. lots has happened since then... christmas, new years, john's visit to hk, our trip to thailand, and me getting my new camera!
that means i have lots of photos. :)

john came on dec. 20th, and i tried my best to show him hong kong. i think we were just too excited to see each other to do anything the first few days, so we didn't do as much as i had hoped. that's fine though. we still had a great time.
